have you been wronged?

have you been wronged? of course you have, everyone has at one time or another.

What do you do if a dear one is grievously wronged by someone she wanted to trust? Ever experience something similar? I have, and it hurts deeply. The pain lingers, and feels as if it will never depart.

Truth is: human beings disappoint. God never disappoints, but loves you with an unconditional, pure, free-from-fear type of love. Isn’t it comforting to know we can approach God’s throne of grace anytime of day/night,   24-7.  

The danger lies if I allow one person’s selfish act to infect my very being and personality. If I allow another’s grievous act to sour me…then I’m as guilty as that individual. Will I learn from the situation and grow and become a better, more stable follower of Christ? Or, will I become a dried up, sulky martyr who is of no use to anyone? Bitter or better? The choice is totally up to me.

I challenge you (myself included) to use the next days/months to get to know God personally in an intimate way like you’ve never known him before. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

 

 “For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
