Bran muffin and a cup of coffee

I had coffee and a bran muffin at a local restaurant this morning with a friend under the guise of delivering a late baby shower gift. No, she isn’t expecting, but her daughter is for the very 1st time. And, yes, I did deliver the baby gift to her to give to her daughter.

We hadn’t connected in WAY TOO LONG, so it felt good to finally catch up. Why do we wait so long to re-connect with our friends and loved ones?

Reminds me of an old saying (Girl Scout saying possibly?):

“Make new friends, but keep the old…one is silver and the other’s gold.”

 Anyone remember that one?
